Borregaard offers a complete line of specialty cement retarders. These products are suitable for retarding the set of cements used to encase newly drilled wells across a broad range of temperatures.
Cementing systems utilise our products’ ability to retard cement, extend pump times, and allow the cement to set at the desired location in the production string.
Marabond 21 is a calcium lignin-based product that is effective as a low temperature retarder. This product exhibits predictable retardation properties at temperatures below 94°C (200°F)
Kelig 32 is a highly modified sodium lignin-based product that was developed for use as a high temperature retarder. This product exhibits predictable retardation properties at temperatures above 122°C (250°F).
